Outline
I work as a director for BBC Television in London, England. For
the last five years I have worked for the BBC's Factual Group making documentaries
on various social, leisure and health issues. I have had an interest in
Orgonomy for around fifteen years having written my graduate thesis on
Reich's concept of Functionalism as applied to youth sub-cultures.
At the time of this writing a colleague on the television programme I am currently working on is making a short item about a psychic healer. Her patients claim to feel sensations of heat emanating from her hands when she heals. To test this my colleague took her and some test subject patients to an infrared thermal imaging camera facility. Present also were a medical doctor in general practice, an infrared camera design engineer and two consultant physicians from Kings College Hospital in London who specialise in using the infrared camera for medical purposes. An informal video-8 record of the event was taken.
The camera manufacturers were kindly providing this expensive equipment for a free trial so I decided to take advantage of the opportunity. I took along a small 3ply accumulator as I thought this would be a chance to confirm in an immediate and visual way the To-T effect. I was pessimistic however as after a couple of days of fine weather we experienced a very rainy day and the ORAC interior did not give my hand the usual tingling sensations that it had only a couple of days before.
However the results of the 20 minute session with the thermal imaging camera were fascinating. First people and other extraneous radiating heat sources were removed to behind insulating screens. Oranur creating lamps and other devices were removed (save for the video recording equipment, computer hard drive and colour TV monitor that constituted the infrared camera assembly).
We watched the camera's real time colour monitor output as the ORAC was placed in front of the camera on the floor of the workshop room (temperature 21 degrees C) after being outside in my car trunk (temperature 12 degrees C) for 90 minutes and then an outer room (temperature 15 degrees C) for one hour.
The camera was sensitive to 0.1 of a degree C. The ORAC was about 3 degrees Celsius colder than the ambient room temperature. Gradually we- saw the ORAC warm up, the physicians and engineer in attendance expected it to reach ambient room temperature and then maintain that mean temperature. They were quite amazed as parts of the ORAC quickly reached that temperature and then continued to get hotter. The top panel soon reached a temperature one and a half degrees C higher than the ambient room temperature and two degrees hotter than the bottom of the ORAC. (The ORAC exterior was still warming up from being outside - but the top panel was warming much faster than the other panels).
Convection currents were discussed and ruled out as being responsible for the phenomena because other surfaces at the same height immediately next to the ORAC maintained exactly the ambient room temperature on all sides. The room was blacked out, people removed from the vicinity and still the effects persisted.
The infrared engineer pointed out that accurate readings can only be taken from surfaces that reflect no or very little heat: thus ensuring that heat shown by the camera is radiated or emitted heat coming from the object under observation as opposed to heat from other extraneous objects that is just bouncing off the target object. The reflective quality of a material is referred to as its "emissivity". The ORAC, funnel & shooter exteriors were all measured as virtually zero emissivity. This means that they reflect virtually no heat and that all readings can be guaranteed as very accurate. By way of contrast it was shown that the sheet steel interior walls of the ORAC had a very high emissivity - the shiny surfaces reflecting a great deal of heat - and that accordingly it was very hard to get an accurate reading from them.
The most interesting aspect was the shooter & funnel which for three years has been stored inside the ORAC. At the beginning of the test the shooter & funnel were removed from the ORAC interior and assembled. It was immediately observed that they were already 1.5 C hotter than the room although the exterior of the ORAC they had been stored in was at that moment still about 3 C colder than the room. The shooter & funnel got hotter and hotter. At first I put this down to the fact that every time I picked up the shooter I held it at the same point. I assumed that it was the heat from my hand that was warming the steel hollow cable of the shooter. However when I released the shooter, rather than dissipate, the temperature of the shooter actually carried on increasing. It was as if I had somehow increased that part of the shooter's energy field or had stimulated it to keep growing perhaps. The shooter cable eventually went off the upper end of the scale so it was at least 4 degrees C hotter than the ambient room temperature.
There were other interesting effects. At one point I asked the psychic healer present to report her subjective reactions to the interior wall of the ORAC. She momentarily held her hand palm inward towards the sheet steel of the ORAC but then sharply removed her hand, saying it was creating pulling sensations. On applying the shooter & funnel to her hand she reported that it seemed to be painfully sucking energy out of her hand. (Unusual as most people hitherto have reported a pleasant warm tingling sensation as they feel energy being gently mobilised in their hand).
I also videotaped the thermal camera output onto VHS tape. (The ORAC - or it's Oranur effect - however did seem to disturb the videotape recorder and the colour signal was only intermittently recorded. However the picture does include a continuously running timecode with time of day displayed and also a temperature legend to interpret the picture properly. It is from this video that I have selected the intact frames where the colour information is clear and then subsequently used these to produce the still images which follow).
I'm not a scientist and we didn't design rigorous controls but the thermal effects certainly baffled the physicians, infrared design engineer and general practice medical doctor present. One of them observed that we appeared to be watching the creation of free energy. I had a job convincing the engineer that the ORAC walls didn't contain hidden batteries!
I suggest to anyone who may have access to an ORAC and a good university campus (where you can find a thermal imaging camera) that you prevail upon their good will for some free "lunch-hour down-time" and go and try this experiment for yourself. It is a very immediate way to observe the orgone and a baffling experience for any physicists who may be around and unfamiliar with orgone energy functions and that's most of them!
Also this was an informally conducted series of observations and they need to be replicated with far greater planning involving rigorously stringent controls. However, informal or not, the thermal imaging camera is revealed as a very useful tool to measure the ORAC's To-T effect and provide immediate evidence of a phenomenon that contradicts the second law of thermodynamics - that of entropy. The Orgone Energy Accumulator - a completely passive device - was seen to clearly generate heat.
Someone at the workshop asked me of what use is this phenomenon. I asked them to imagine a ten thousand fold ORAC with a water pipe running through it. Couldn't we thus generate enough free heat to run turbines and produce electricity without burning fossil fuel? Or befter yet - perhaps Orgone Energy could be directly harnessed for locomotion and other purposes without it's prior conversion into toxic secondary energy forms?

Notes to accompany thermal images
Effect Observed: ORAC funnel & shooter is 22.7 C. ORAC is approximately 19 C. Ambient room temperature (as shown by carpet) is 21.1 C. Hand (at 36 C) pointing at ORAC shows white ie. off the upper end of the calibrated scale which only covers 17.4 C to 23.9 C).
Interpretation: Shooter & funnel stored in ORAC are nearly 3 C hotter than exterior of same ORAC. ie the inside of the ORAC is warmer than the outside.
Effect Observed: Top panel is lifted off ORAC...
Interpretation: None
Effect Observed: ... revealing interior (showing apparent high temperature).
Interpretation: Reading is unreliable as interior sheet steel is high emissivity. We cannot determine the interior wall temperature without shielding the steel from every extraneous heat source.
Effect Observed: Interference seen on VH recording of imaging session only when human energy field absent from vicinity of ORAC.
Interpretation: Interference was not shown on the camera monitor during the session. It only appeared later on the VHS recording. This perhaps suggests an Oranur effect that interfered with the VTR but not the thermal imaging camera.
Effect Observed: Picture becomes stable when human energy field enters frame again.
Interpretation: Unknown.
Effect Observed: Attempt is made with surrounding panels to shield interior sheet steel walls from extraneous heat sources.
Interpretation: Temperature reading of sheet steel falls to more realistic reading approximating but still higher than exterior of ORAC. Note however that shooter remains above ambient room temperature.
Effect Observed: Funnel & shooter is propped up by ORAC.
Interpretation: Shooter & funnel still hotter than room and not losing heat to room either.
Effect Observed: Hand points to hot spot connecting funnel to shooter.
Interpretation: Engineer points out exposed steel ring connecting funnel to shooter has high emissivity and therefore possibly falsely reads high temperature. However beeswax exterior of funnel and plastic electrical tape exterior of shooter are zero emissivity and therefore are accurately measured by camera. They show negative entropy!
Effect Observed: Shooter is picked up.
Interpretation: Note shooter absorbs heat from hand.
Effect Observed: ORAC illuminates as hand of psychic healer is inserted.
Interpretation: High emissivity of interior wall makes accurate reading and therefore interpretation impossible.
Effect Observed: Shooter & funnel are directed by Jon East towards hand of psychic healer. Note heat fingerprints on side of ORAC. Temperature of top panel is 22.7 C as opposed to ambient room temperature of 21.1 C.
Interpretation: Temperature difference To-T is shown as a differential of 1.6 C.
Effect Observed: Top panel continues to warm. Note heat fingerprints have dissipated in less than one minute.
Interpretation: ORAC exterior panels (particle board) do not hold heat easily.
Effect Observed: Top panel of ORAC now nearly 3 C hotter than bottom of ORAC. Note that 6 minutes after being released the shooter cable is getting hotter - not cooler.
Interpretation: Shooter defies entropy. It should bleed the heat it received from my hand back into the environment. However it is gathering heat from the environment.
Effect Observed: Eleven minutes after being released the shooter (conducting orgone from the ORAC interior) is still hotter than the exterior of the ORAC.
Interpretation: Heat source is possibly inside the ORAC?
